All cylinders must be adequately secured, disconnected and turned off. Camping gas must be declared before boarding.

Taking your caravan or motorhome to Jersey
Changes to Jersey’s planning laws mean that tourist caravans, trailer tents, motorhomes and campervans that are brought onto the Island for 31 days or fewer will be granted permission automatically, provided they fall within the following conditions:
Caravans & trailer tents
- The total length of any caravan and the vehicle towing it must be no more than 16.5 metres, and the total width must be no more than 2.3 metres (excluding side mirrors).
- Caravans must not be used on a public road unless travelling between the port and a designated campsite on arrival to or departure from Jersey.
- The caravan must not be used as overnight accommodation unless it is stationed at a designated campsite.
Motorhomes and campervans
- The total length of any motorhome or campervan must be no more than 9.3 metres, and the total width must be no more than 2.3 metres (excluding side mirrors).
- Motorhomes and campervans must not be used as overnight accommodation unless they are stationed at a designated campsite.

Checking in with a caravan
Check-in will close 1 hour before your scheduled departure time. Please leave plenty of time to arrive at the port for check-in. We recommend you plan your journey carefully in advance and also keep an eye on our sailing updates too for any changes in departure times.
Make sure your Guernsey entry permit is clearly displayed in the window of your caravan/motorhome/camper.
When you arrive at the port, follow the signs to Condor Ferries’ car check-in, making sure you have your booking reference number at the ready, as well as your photo ID, such as a passport or driving licence. If you are travelling to France remember to keep your passports handy too.
You may be asked to use the weighbridge to confirm that your vehicle is within our 3.5 tonnes gross ramp limit and if you have not provided us with the correct details we will not let you travel on the day.
Driving onto the ferry
You will be guided onto the ship by our experienced crew and if travelling with a towed caravan, you may be required to reverse onto the cardeck. As our ships stop at more than one port, vehicles have to be loaded in a specific order so please be patient, as it is not necessarily first come first served. It is likely that you will be amongst the last to embark as some of the more suitable areas for caravans are situated at the rear of the car deck.
Once you have driven onto the ship and into your parking space, please apply your handbrake, switch off your car alarm and make sure any gas cylinders are turned off.
Some of our passengers travel with pets and it is important not to distress them in transit. More information on travelling with pets can be found here.
When you leave the vehicle deck make sure you have everything you need with you for the crossing, including your boarding pass, (which you will need if you plan to buy anything from our onboard duty free shop), and follow the signs to the main cabin.
There you can enjoy a wide variety of hot food and snacks, a drink in one of our bars, and also make savings on your favourite brands, in our onboard duty-free shop!
Important Notice
If you travel in a vehicle with different dimensions to those on your booking form, you will be liable to an excess charge at the port of departure, and may be refused carriage.
