CHECK-IN ADVICE
FOR FOOT PASSENGERS
Check-in closes 40 minutes prior to your departure
Checking-in on foot
Check-in will close 40 minutes before your scheduled departure time if you're travelling from the UK, and 60 minutes in France. Please leave plenty of time to arrive at the port for check-in. Plan your journey to the Port carefully in advance and keep an eye on our sailing updates too, for any changes in sailing times.
When you arrive at the Port, head for the check-in desk, making sure you have your booking reference number ready. If you’re travelling to France don’t forget to have your passports handy too (if you're travelling on a domestic route, make sure you have photo ID). You’ll then be given a boarding pass and be directed to the departure lounge to wait until it’s time to board.
E-Boarding
Prior to your arrival at the Port, please print your boarding card and bring this with you for a swift check-in process. If you are using a mobile phone or tablet device, then please have this ready with the brightness turned up for our Port staff when you arrive at the terminal.
Embarkation
A member of the crew will welcome you onboard, and check your boarding pass – keep this somewhere safe as you may be asked to show it again, and you will need it if you want to make a purchase in ouronboard Duty Free shop, where you can make massive savings on your favourite brands.
When you arrive at your destination the Cabin Manager will announce when it’s time to disembark.
Personal Luggage
Your fare includes personal luggage of up to 25kg, and you can check this in before departure and collect it at baggage reclaim in the arrival hall when you get to your destination. The dimensions for personal luggage are H56cm x W45cm x D25cm. If these are exceeded, the bag must go in the hold.
Larger items such as camping equipment, musical instruments, filming and radio transmitting equipment, commercial samples, surf and windsurfing boards and other large items can still be carried, but these will incur an excess baggage fee of £30 per item.
Day Trip foot passenger fares include hand baggage only.
