Visit Kingston Lacy National Trust

Passed from the Bankes family to the National Trust, Kingston Lacy is open for the public to enjoy and explore its 8,500 acres of land. From Japanese gardens to the Spanish-inspired room, the house is the perfect place to discover treasures and cultures from around the world. If history is your thing, Kingston Lacy offers an exciting array of historical gems to see, including Britain’s largest private collection of Egyptian relics with treasures such as bronze cats, scarab beetles, tomb inscriptions and
wall paintings.

The 12 walking trails around the site will leave you spoilt for choice. You’ll be able to visit the Badbury Rings Iron Age fort along with a stroll down what once was the Dorchester Old Sarum Roman Road. Walking trails are a popular way to see the woodland and the garden of Kingston Lacy’s grounds. Each of the trails can be downloaded from the National Trust website, so take a look and find a route that best suits you. If you want to know more of the history and details of your walk, the guided tours are a fantastic way to discover more of Kingston Lacy. The next guided walk is of Badbury Rings and Kings Down Drive from 10am - 12:30pm on 7 December 2018.

From 20th – 28th October, join in with Honey, harvest and hibernation, and enjoy all the colours that autumn has to offer with hands-on activities for your little ones.
