The Guernsey Literary Festival is one of the highlights of the island’s arts calendar bringing some of the world’s greatest writers, speakers and thinkers to Guernsey as well as celebrating local writing talent.
The Festival is proud to champion audience-led, inclusive programming, presenting a rich and diverse mix of voices that appeal to people of all ages and interests. Our mission is to create experiences that bring joy, foster meaningful connections and inspire creativity and change, while ensuring everyone has the opportunity to engage with books, ideas and creative expression.
Alongside a number of headline events, the Festival will again expand its education, community and outreach work across the island with events in schools, Guernsey Prison and care homes.
Professor Tracy Borman OBE - The bestselling author, historian and broadcaster will discuss the fascinating history of the Boleyn family, to celebrate The House of Boleyn, her upcoming novel.
Cally Beaton - The comedian, broadcaster and writer presents Namaste Motherf*ckers, her part-memoir, part stereotype-defying manifesto. A funny, empowering and practical book that takes an irreverent look at her own story of radical midlife reinvention.
Brian Bilston - One of the UK’s most hilarious and best-loved poets, takes us through the hows, whys and whats of reading, writing and enjoying poetry every day.
