Condor Group Ferry Booking Terms and Conditions
The General Conditions of Sale and Conditions of Carriage, as updated on the pages, are applicable to groups, insofar as they are not derogated from in these "group" conditions.”
FARES AND GENERAL INFORMATION
Fares are based on travel dates and times and may require you to return to the UK within a specified period. Documents are only valid for the sailing dates/times indicated. Open return tickets are not available. Fares are only valid for itineraries commencing in the country they are booked in. We will not carry passengers under the age of 16 unless an adult of 18 years or over accompanies them. Children travelling with an adult other than, their parents or legal guardians must have a letter of consent.
At the time of booking the following information will be required where applicable: vehicle registration number, passengers' first names, surnames, dates of birth and nationality.
If you vary sailing date and times or misuse the terms of the ticket or any promotion, then the difference between the cost of your original ticket and the appropriate current fare will be charged. Any additional charges are payable prior to boarding.
For overnight crossings a cabin or seat in a lounge must be pre-booked whilst availability remains. Bookings without on board accommodation may only be accepted on our French routes after all such accommodation has been reserved.
Vehicle and passenger space plus on board accommodation are subject to allocations and therefore may not always be available with certain types of fare.
We vary our fares according to market conditions or where costs beyond our control make such action necessary. We reserve the right to make a surcharge after the date of booking and before outward travel date if there is an increase in taxes, fees or charges (e.g. government action, fuel charges etc). No surcharges will be made within 30 days of outward travel date. You will be given the opportunity to accept the surcharge or cancel without liability.
Motorised vehicles must arrive at the designated port of departure for both outbound and return sailings under their own power, failure to do so will invalidate this transport contract. Vehicles not specifically constructed or adapted for the carriage of passengers are subject to freight tariffs. For further information and rates, contact our Freight Sales Team on email: freight-dl@brittanyferries.gg Please note that if you arrive at your designated port and should have under the above definition booked under a freight contract, then this transport contract is invalid. Travel will only be permitted on the ability to secure a freight contract and payment of any additional cost. Your carriage cannot be guaranteed.
Luggage sizes in public areas on our high speed services are limited to 45cm (equivalent to hand luggage at airports) all other luggage will be stored remotely for the duration of the crossing.
Onboard facilities vary depending on route, vessel, dates and time of travel.
Please note that smoking (including electronic cigarettes) is only permitted on designated outside decks.
To monitor customer service and for training purposes, we record telephone calls.
A 'group booking' is a reservation for 10 or more adults travelling together on one ticket either as foot passengers or in a small minibus. Where groups include the carriage of children (4-15yrs inclusive) then 2 children = 1 adult in respect of minimum numbers etc. If party numbers drop below 10 the fare will revert to general booking terms and conditions.
PROVISIONAL BOOKING
Bookings are held for 2 months.
CONFIRMED BOOKING
A non-refundable deposit is required to secure a booking. There is a deposit of 25% of the total amount of booking. The confirmation document will set out the details of your reservation with ourselves; so you should check carefully to ensure it meets with your requirements and that you are happy with our General Ferry Booking Terms and Conditions. The contract is between Brittany Ferries Guernsey, the carrier, and the lead passenger named on this document and all persons travelling with that passenger on the same document.
Full payment for a group booking is required at least 60 days before the day of outward travel date. If payment is not received the booking will be cancelled which invalidates all related documents. Reservations made within 60 days of outward travel date must be paid in full at the time of booking.
AMENDMENT FEES
£100 amendment after confirmation. When there is a reduction of passengers on a group booking within 30 days before departure, there will be no decrease in the ticket price caused by the amendment.

This must include Passport Number and Full Date of Expiry) must be received 30 days prior to travel. An amendment fee of £100 will apply upon receiving details within 30 days of travel.
The amendment Fee will apply for name changes per passenger when the change is received after check-in is opened.
We reserve the right to make a surcharge after the date of booking and before outward travel date if there is an increase in taxes, fees or charges (e.g. government action, fuel charges etc). No surcharges will be made within 30 days of outward travel date: You will be given the opportunity to accept the surcharge or cancel without liability.
YOUTH OR SCHOOL GROUP
Each group is required to designate and identify an adult member to accept overall responsibility for the whole group. This 'Party Leader' must be contactable throughout the entire crossing and at least one accompanying adult must constantly remain with the group and/or in the assigned area. There must be a minimum ratio of 1 adult to every 12 children. On overnight crossings accompanying adults will only be permitted to reserve identical accommodation to that of the rest of the party.
Bars and Duty Free Shops: Access to the bars for persons under 18 years of age and travelling as part of a group is restricted and subject to specific permission from either the ship's Purser or designated member of crew. The sale of alcohol and tobacco products is prohibited in both the bar and on board shops.
Tickets will be issued 30 days before travel together with a manifest which must be completed and returned no later than 5 working days before travel.
Meal vouchers, if required, can be purchased up to a minimum of 14 days before departure and are non-refundable and non-transferable.
CHANGES AND INTERRUPTIONS TO SAILINGS AND SERVICES
All departure/arrival times are local - please refer to your travel documents. It may be necessary to use alternative ships on any sailing or to change/withdraw the facilities/services available for various operational, technical or scheduling reasons.
CHECK IN
The latest arrival time at the port for each journey will be shown on your documents. This may vary depending on whether you have any special requirements, are travelling as part of a group or for other reasons. If you do not meet latest check in requirements, then your space cannot be guaranteed.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS - Permissions to travel
The following categories require permission from the Captain to travel on any of our Vessels;
Pregnancy
Passengers who are more than 28 weeks pregnant will not be accepted for travel without a doctor's certificate. Passengers who check with their doctor and do not have permission are liable to be denied boarding and will not be eligible for a refund. Condor Ferries will not accept passengers for carriage more than 34 weeks pregnant.
When a passenger presents between 28-34 weeks pregnant with a valid doctors certificate/fit to travel letter the Captain must be advised and has the overriding say on whether this passenger can travel dependant on the sea conditions etc..
Medical conditions
Travel by sea in adverse weather conditions can be stressful and unpleasant. Passengers with known or suspected health problems, pregnant passengers and passengers undergoing medical treatment are advised to seek medical advice before travelling.
The Captain can be consulted if there is concern regarding any passenger’s travel.
It is your responsibility to ensure if you have a disability or restricted mobility that your needs are known and understood at the time of booking. If you travel with a pre-diagnosed condition, then travel is entirely at your own risk and you should obtain advice from your own doctor before travelling.
You are strongly advised to have adequate travel and health insurance, as cover under national schemes is not always comprehensive.
CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
Cancellation charges are applicable on full booking cancellation and/or cancellation of party members from the group.
Application for any refund must be made within 4 weeks of the return travel date.
