Newly published passenger figures from Brittany Ferries have shown continued growth in sea travel to and from Guernsey, with bookings for the 2026 season currently running 33% ahead of the same point last year.
As of late January, a total 60,880 passengers have booked travel between Guernsey, Poole, Portsmouth and Saint Malo for journeys up to 31 October 2026. This compares with 45,713 recorded at the same stage in 2025, underlining sustained demand from the UK and France.
The figures continue the consistent and positive momentum generated since the French ferry operator’s contract with the States of Guernsey came into effect last April. Overall passenger carryings to Guernsey during 2025 were ahead by a third compared with the previous year, a reflection of improved connectivity and consumer confidence.
Brittany Ferries also boosted its market share of all sea travel to the Channel Islands from France and the UK in December last year to 48%.
