I joined Condor a few months ago to help map out the future for the company, and am writing to tell you of some of the exciting changes taking place here.

Dear valued customer,

For those who don’t know me, I have been a close neighbour for over 30 years at Brittany Ferries, of which the past 8 years as CEO and I continue in that role.

I have taken a fresh look at Condor’s operations, to make sure we deliver the services our passengers and freight clients are looking for, and these changes are reflected in the new summer schedule which is now live and available to book.

Condor will celebrate its 60th anniversary later in 2024 and we all look forward to many more years serving the Channel Islands.

Best regards,
Christophe

Major schedule improvements

  • Increased frequency from Jersey to St Malo
  • Morning departures from Poole to the Islands, up to seven days a week in high season
  • Sailings from Guernsey to Cherbourg have been withdrawn, and replaced by an additional 54 direct services to St Malo between May and October
  • Additional day trips from Poole to Guernsey to benefit tourism, local retail and on-Island events
  • Improved connectivity inter-island
  • Freight customers have already seen the schedule revert to early morning and late afternoon arrivals, to support the existing supply chain.

The schedule changes will inevitably mean some passengers’ current bookings will be affected, but the long term benefits of delivering an improved and consistent service to the islands will be significant. All schedule changes are now complete and our new timetable is available online.

30% discount on Brittany Ferries to Spain and Ireland

As part of developing relationship between our two companies we can now offer Condor customers in the islands a 30% discount on Brittany Ferries’ network to Spain and Ireland. The offer applies to Condor travellers with future bookings to the UK or France, or for those planning to make a new booking.

  • Sail to Spain from Portsmouth → Santander & Bilbao, or Plymouth → Santander
  • Sail to Ireland from Roscoff → Cork, or Cherbourg → Rosslare

Adding strength to ferry services in the Islands

As part of our commitment to strengthening Condor’s position in the islands, we have recently carried out successful berthing trials in Jersey and Guernsey using Brittany Ferries’ Barfleur, a 157m long Ropax, which can carry 900 passengers and up to 600 cars.

Condor in the Community

As Condor approaches its 60th anniversary of servicing the islands, it’s clear no-one understands the complexities of delivering these services as we do.

I have also been pleased to see the role Condor plays each year helping worthy causes - our popular Community Fund provides monetary grants to individuals and groups who dedicate their time and energies to community initiatives across the Channel Islands.

We also work with key sporting and other events, providing travel for teams and supporters.

This spring we launched a Sports Travel Fund helping talented Islanders to pursue their chosen sport in the UK and overseas. Working with the Guernsey Sports Commission and Jersey Sport, travel up to £12,000 is available to athletes from 13-23 years of age.

I am committed to supporting Condor over the long term, and to providing the services islanders demand, and look forward to seeing you on one of our sailings in 2024. To keep up to date with all our news and community involvement please see our website.
