In addition, if the vehicle being taken is designed for the carriage of commercial goods it shall be reserved as freight regardless of its dimensions. Your Duty Free ALLOWANCE

Passengers aged 17 years and over arriving from non-EU countries may bring the following items into the UK for personal use without paying UK tax or duty. The Channel Islands are treated as being outside of the EU. Passengers are not allowed to combine allowances with other travelling companions, it is an individual allowance and is the responsibility of the person travelling to know the allowance of the country they are entering. The Channel Islands are treated as being outside the EU. 

Wines and Spirits

UK to the Channel Islands or France
1 litre or Spirit (over 22% abv) or 2 litres of sparkling wine, fortified wine or any alcoholic beverage less than 22% ABV Fortified
4 litres of wine (6 x 75cl)
16 litres of beer (1 x 24 x 568ml Case or 2 x 24 x 330ml Cases)

Channel Islands or France to the UK
4 litres of spirits OR 9 litres of sparkling wine, fortified wine or any alcoholic beverage less than 22% ABV
18 litres of still wine (4 x 6 x 75cl)
42 litres of beer (3 x 24 x 568ml Cases or 5 x 24 x 330ml Cases)

Other Goods

£390 worth of fragrance, gifts, souvenirs, electrical products and all other goods. Passengers travelling either to or from the UK - France via the Channel Islands are permitted to land goods purchased duty free onboard in addition to any duty and tax paid goods.

Travelling into Jersey

A passenger may bring in, without payment of duty, such other alternative combinations & quantities that are considered to be compatible with the duty value of the relief described above. Provided, therefore, if you have no spirits, or tobacco goods you may bring back the following: 36 litres table wine; or 48 x 75cl bottles of wine; or 110 litres beers (< 4.9% abv)
