  • Freight Operations Clerk

    We have an opportunity for a Freight Operations Clerk to join the team on a permanent, full time basis.

    Location: Guernsey Port

    The purpose of this role is to complete the Freight movements within the Port of Guernsey, including manifesting, control of the loading and discharge process, and carrying out inspections of trailers and freight vehicles.


    This is a varied role combining office duties and activities in and around the Port.


    Some of the Key Responsibilities for this role include:


    • Overseeing and managing the preparation/completion of all paperwork relating to vessel movements, ensuring that all legislative procedures are followed and that paperwork is accurate
    • Managing all day to day operational and commercial activities in relation to freight requirements
    • Ensuring that all company and legislative procedures relating to vessel movements are carried out in accordance with Condor requirements

    The successful candidate will have a good level of IT understanding, including experience of using Microsoft Office packages, as well as the ability to pick up new systems quickly. They will have a strong Health and Safety awareness, and excellent Customer Service skills. Ideally, the successful candidate will have previous experience of working within a freight environment.


    The location for this role is Guernsey.

  • Warehouse Agent

    We have an opportunity for a Warehouse Agent to join the Operations team on a full-time, fixed-term basis.

    The purpose of this role is to ensure safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of goods in a timely manner, and in accordance with all relevant HMRC legislation and Company procedures, whilst maintaining the working safety culture throughout the warehouse and ensuring timely operation of all daily warehouse functions.

    Some of the Key Responsibilities for this role includes:

    • Completing picking, packing and distribution activity within the warehouse operation, to ensure it is completed in a safe, timely and efficient manner, as directed.
    • Liaising with couriers, delivery drivers and transport companies as required in a professional manner.
    • Maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment.
    • Completing all required paperwork in accordance with Company guidelines and Standard Operation Procedures.

    The successful candidate will have a Full UK Driving Licence, as well as manual handling experience. They will ideally hold a forklift and towing licence and have previous warehouse experience. They will have good interpersonal skills, great attention to detail and be a strong team player.

  • Cafe Assistant

    We have an opportunity for a Café Assistant to join the team in our Harry Rocks Café on a part time, fixed term basis.

     

    Location: Poole Port

    Part Time Fixed Term Contract until 30th September 2019 (20 hours)

    The purpose of this role is to assist the Café Supervisor with the efficient running of Harry Rocks Café and Snack Bar. This will include all aspects of the café operation including equipment & facilities, Health & Safety, customer care and administration.

    Some of the Key Responsibilities for this role include:

    • To set and maintain the highest standards of customer service in the café
    • Ensure a high standard of cleanliness at all times
    • Follow all Health & Safety procedures and safe systems of work
    • Ensure the safe operation of the café and use equipment in a safe manner
    • Ensure all administration, documentation, logs and records are compiled, updated and stored as per company procedures

    The successful candidate will have a Food Hygiene qualification and have experience of working within a café environment with cash handling. They will have excellent customer service skills and have the ability to work under pressure. They will be able to remain calm in stressful situations.

    The location for this role is in our Harry Rocks Café in Poole.

  • Asset Health Engineer

    We have an opportunity for an Asset Health Engineer to join the Fleet & Asset team on a full time, permanent basis.

    Location: Poole

    The purpose of this role is to support the Asset Health Superintendent with the monitoring of ship systems to improve reliability and lifespan of assets.


    Some of the Key Responsibilities for this role include:


    • Setting up and undertaking vibration monitoring, including the analysis
    • Reacting to failures and implanting safeguards against recurrence
    • Collecting and analysing oil samples
    • Monitoring fuel efficiency of ship and engine performance


    The successful candidate will have an NVQ level 3 in Engineering or Electrical, or equivalent experience and they will hold a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a heavy engineering environment. They will hold a Full UK Driving Licence.

    The intended location for this role is Poole. This role requires frequent travel across the network.

  • Electrical Engineer

    We have an opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join the Operations team on a full-time basis.

    Location: Onboard

    The purpose of this role is to manage day to day electrical, electronic and control engineering at the operational level.

    Some of the Key Responsibilities for this role include:

    • The Electrical Engineer is responsible to the Electrical Superintendent for all the electrical work onboard the vessels as supervised by the Chief Engineer and/or Ship Manager. This includes (but not limited to) the routine maintenance and repair of all electrical equipment onboard the vessel.
    • The Electrical Engineer must also investigate and repair failure of electrical, electronic and control equipment.
    • The Electrical Engineer must be fully conversant with the vessels PM System and use the system correctly and to full advantage in connection with routine and breakdown maintenance. Records and history must be fully updated as work is completed.
    • The Electrical Support Engineer must carry out all work in a safe and efficient manner and adhere to company and statutory regulations. He/she must abide by the ISM Code and vessel/company SMS.

    The successful candidate will be a qualified in Electrical Engineer to a HNC level 4 or equivalent Degree, or hold a Certificate of Competency, as well as previous experience within a similar industry in a regulated environment.

    The intended location for this role is vessel based across all our fleet so will include frequent travel around Condor locations and vessels. You therefore must hold a full UK driving license.

    Salary: £39,000 - £45,000 per annum, DOE

    We have an exciting new opportunity for a GDPR Administrator to join the team in Poole. 

    Location: Poole

    This new role will support GDPR compliance across the business. Reporting to the Head of Change Management and Development, this role will be the first point of contact for all GDPR related enquiries.

    This role handles sensitive data and requires interaction with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Previous experience of GDPR would be desirable but full training will be provided.

    • Respond to Subject Access Requests (SARs) in line with legal timeframes
    • Actively raise awareness across the Company through regular visits to all locations
    • Maintain accurate records of all supplier agreements and data processing

    • Conduct annual audits
    • Ensure adequate resources are available to help us comply
    • Write, review and reissue GDPR policies where required
    • Track and implement GDPR legislation changes
