  • Passenger Services Agent

    We have a number of opportunities for a Passenger Services Agents to join the team at Jersey Port on a full time or casual basis.

    Location: Jersey

    The purpose of this role is to deliver the highest level of customer service skills at all times and to ensure a positive customer experience for our passengers.


    Some of the Key Responsibilities for this role include:


    • To assist with checking-in, marshalling, loading/unloading and collection of passengers and vehicles to and from all company vessels
    • To assist in the preparation and completion of all paperwork and administrative procedures relating to all vehicle, passenger and vessel movements

  • Freight Operations Clerk

    We have an opportunity for a Freight Operations Clerk to be based in Guernsey, reporting to the Freight Manager.

    Location: Guernsey

    The purpose of this role is to assist in completion of the Freight movements within the Port of Guernsey, including manifesting, control of the loading and discharge processes, and carrying out inspections of trailers and freight vehicles.

    This is a varied role combining office duties and activities in and around the Port.  This is a Customer facing role with a strong focus on providing a high quality of service for our clients.  

    Some of the Key Responsibilities for this role include:

    • Oversee and manage the preparation/completion of all paperwork relating to vessel movements, ensuring that all legislative procedures are followed and that paperwork is accurate.
    • To inspect and report on the condition of all trailers and unaccompanied vehicles into and out of the RZ (Restricted Zone).
    • To manage and control the allocated space to Condor Ferries within the RZ.
    • To ensure that all vehicles for the use of Condor operations are clean, fuelled and inspected on a daily basis.

    The successful candidate will have experience of using Microsoft Office packages and the ability to pick up new IT systems quickly.  You must have an excellent level of customer service skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to adapt quickly within a fast paced environment.

    This role also requires a high level of initiative, strong problem solving, and the ability to remain level headed and calm in a sometimes hectic environment.

  • Duty Manager

    We have an opportunity for a Duty Manager to join the Freight team at Jersey port on a permanent, full time basis.

    Location: Jersey

    Some of the Key Responsibilities for this role includes:

    • Ensure stevedores carry out duties as instructed. I.e. Discharging the essential part of the stow in order for passenger traffic to disembark as quickly as possible
    • To supervise the safe marshalling of traffic from the ship
    • Deal with customers’ queries and complaints
    • Liaise with Chief Officer about the loading order/requirements and update as necessary
    • Recording and updating the trailer quay status reports

    The successful candidate will have previous experience within a similar role and have the ability to work to deadlines, lead and motivate a team and delegate where necessary.

    We have an opportunity for a UK Terminal Experience Manager to join the Operations team on a full time, permanent basis.

    The purpose of this role is to manage all aspects of Port Operations in accordance with Company policies and Port and Customer Service requirements.

  • Shipping Clerk

    We have an opportunity for a Shipping Clerk to join the Freight team on a permanent basis, in our busy Portsmouth Port.

    Location: Portsmouth Port

    Some of the Key Responsibilities for this role include:


    • To ensure all clients have presented the correct import or export Customs documentation to complete a declaration
    • To deal with all customer enquiries by phone, email and face to face
    • To take and complete freight reservations
    • To receive payment for VAT and other Customs charges
    • To at all times represent Condor to our clients, and the general public in accordance with the company standards, regulations and requirements
    • To provide a high level of customer service in accordance with Condor standards and regulations


    The successful candidates will have experience of working to Health and Safety guidelines, and a working knowledge of export and/or import regulations, procedures and customs processes would be advantageous. They will ideally hold an appropriate qualification in industry or import/export, and ideally have international trade experience.


    This position involves working shifts and weekends worked on a rota basis. The hours of operation normally cover from 0600 hrs to 2200 hrs.

  • Cabin Crew

    We are recruiting for a number of Cabin Crew in our onboard Cabin team for our High Speed Crafts, on a permanent basis.

    Location: High Speed Crafts

    The purpose of this role is to ensure that our passengers are kept safe at all times, including in an emergency. Other responsibilities include welcoming and assisting passengers, ensuring that the ship is kept clean and tidy at all times and serving passengers in the onboard shop, café, bars and Club Class Lounge.

     

    The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and will be able to work effectively under pressure as part of a fun and energising team. You will need to be able to manage your time effectively and have a flexible and adaptable approach. Experience in a customer facing role is essential, and experience within the retail or food & beverage industry would be beneficial.

     

    The intended location for this role is onboard our High Speed Crafts although you may be required to work onboard other vessels if needed.
