Risk Analyst

Location: Poole

An opportunity has arisen for a Risk Analyst, based in Poole, reporting to the Risk and Insurance Manager. This is a 6 – 9 month contract.

The Risk Analyst will assist with review and maintenance, delivery, embedding and communication of the company Risk Management Policy and Framework. This supporting role focuses on the review and analysis of the current business risk profile with design and implementation of mitigating actions through collaboration with risk owners. The successful applicant will hold a Risk Management MSc or will be an intern progressing towards this level of qualification. They will be able to articulate risk management practices and build effective working relationships at all levels, able to influence and persuade, inquisitive, and able to challenge existing practices.

Cafe Assistant

Location: Guernsey

Full time  (40 hours) Based at the Ferry Terminal, White Rock, Guernsey                 

We have a seasonal opportunity for a full time Café Assistant to work in our Café and Snack Bar, situated at the Guernsey Ferry Terminal. 

The café is open seven days a week, and operates between the hours of 7:00am and 9:00pm (dependent on ship sailing times).

We are looking for applicants with previous experience of working within a café environment, who have excellent customer service skills and experience of working in a customer facing role.

Applicants must have a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance – a uniform will be provided.

IT Support Manager

Location: Poole

We are looking for an IT Support Manager to be based in Poole, reporting to the IT Operations Manager.
The IT Support Manager will assist the IT Operations Manager with providing support to business applications and infrastructure, including future developments and system modifications.

Condor has a company development programme which includes a number of high profile projects such as a loyalty scheme, MIS integration, Tours system and Freight interfaces. This role will also initially be assisting in the completion of this Programme.

To apply for this role you must have experience providing IT support, ideally in a Helpdesk/Support environment, experience of working in a customer facing environment and the ability to convert basic user concepts and requirements into technical specifications.

The IT Support Manager will need to have the following technical capabilities:-
- Hands on experience supporting a Cisco/Juniper network including Firewall/Switch
- Centralised Virtual management software (V-Center & SCVMM)
- Ability to install and troubleshoot- IPSec VPN, Wireless Access Points (Cisco, Aerohive, Meraki)
- An understanding of script and able to create login scripts or batch files to automate processes
- Understanding and Experience on PABX system (new phone / voicemails / call groups / hunt groups)

This role is based in Poole but may require occasional travel to France and the Channel Islands.

Freight Operations Clerk

Location: Guernsey

We are looking for a Freight Operations Clerk to be based in Guernsey, reporting to the Freight Manager.

This role will assist in completion of the Freight movements within the Port of Guernsey, including manifesting, control of the loading and discharge processes, and carrying out inspections of trailers and freight vehicles.

This is a varied role combining office duties and activities in and around the Port. This is a Customer facing role with a strong focus on providing a high quality of service for our clients.

To apply for this role you must have experience of using Microsoft Office packages and the ability to pick up new IT systems quickly. You must have an excellent level of customer service skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to adapt quickly within a fast paced environment.

This role also requires a high level of initiative, strong problem solving, and the ability to remain level headed and calm in a sometimes hectic environment.

Revenue Executive

Location: Poole

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join Condor Ferries successful revenue team based in Poole. If you are looking for your first step on the ladder, this entry level position is ideal for someone looking to develop in the travel industry.

The revenue executive will be responsible for supporting the departmental goal of maximising revenue across the passenger ticketing business. The role includes products, pricing, analysing business trends and competitor analysis.

Your work will be varied and will include creating schedules, revenue budgets, creating promotions, pricing, system set up of all products, supporting our trade customers. You will also have the opportunity to work with various departments to achieve business objectives.

The successful applicant will ideally have experience within a revenue or finance environment. A degree in finance or hospitality is desirable. You must have advanced Excel knowledge and good computer skills.
The ideal candidate will be proactive and hard working, with energy and enthusiasm, and an eagerness to learn. They will also possess creative ability, business acumen, and will have an excellent eye for detail.
