Cafe Assistant

Location: Guernsey

We have a seasonal opportunity for a full time Café Assistant to work in our Café and Snack Bar, situated at the Guernsey Ferry terminal.   

The café is open seven days a week, and operates between the hours of 07:00 and 21:00, (dependent on ship sailing times), so there will be a requirement to work shifts which may include weekends and Bank holidays.

We are looking for applicants who must have previous experience of working within a café environment, have excellent customer service skills, and preferably possess Food Hygiene certification.

This role is for 40 hours per week on a seasonal contract until the end of October 2016 based in Guernsey.  

Applicants must have a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance – a uniform will be provided.

Passenger Services Supervisor

Location: Guernsey

An excellent opportunity has arisen for two Passenger Services Supervisors to join our Guernsey Port.  

The Passenger Services Supervisor will be responsible for supporting the Passenger Service Manager and Port Manager with all daily operational and commercial activities within the port, providing excellent customer service and ensure best working practices are adhered to at all times.

Key responsibilities will include:-

  • Provide a high level of Customer Service in accordance with Condor standards, regulations and requirements
  • Deal with day to day enquiries/complaints/queries that are falls beyond the remit of the Passenger Services Agent
  • Ensure that best working practice is always followed, paying special attention to all Port and Company Health and Safety regulations
  • Comply with the work practice, processes, and procedures outlined in the Quality Manual
  • Supervise and monitor the output and quality of work of the Passenger Services Personnel
  • Prepare paperwork, ensuring that all legislative procedures are followed and that paperwork is accurate. Prepare loading lists and pass to PSA Marshall ready for unloading/boarding of vessel
  • Prepare and oversee shipping/loading plan and ensure that this information is passed to the PSA Marshall confirming that the information is passed to the Chief Officer prior to the vessel arrival
  • Supervise the loading of all the passengers and vehicles paying special regard to all company procedures and best working practice
  • Check accuracy of all sailing information for final approval to sail vessel, these checks must follow Condor Ferries policies and procedures
  • Receive payment for the carriage of: freight, goods, passengers and their vehicles ensuring that all payments are reconciled accurately with the booking record
  • Ensure that daily logs are completed

The successful applicant will have experience in a passenger services role, with the ability to work to strict deadlines, lead and motivate a team, and delegate where necessary. The Passenger Services Supervisor will require close working relationships with the Port Manager, Passenger Services Manager, and Passenger Services Agents.

Freight Operations Clerk

Location: Guernsey

We are looking for a Freight Operations Clerk to be based in Guernsey, reporting to the Freight Manager.

This role will assist in completion of the Freight movements within the Port of Guernsey, including manifesting, control of the loading and discharge processes, and carrying out inspections of trailers and freight vehicles.

This is a varied role combining office duties and activities in and around the Port. This is a Customer facing role with a strong focus on providing a high quality of service for our clients.

To apply for this role you must have experience of using Microsoft Office packages and the ability to pick up new IT systems quickly. You must have an excellent level of customer service skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to adapt quickly within a fast paced environment.

This role also requires a high level of initiative, strong problem solving, and the ability to remain level headed and calm in a sometimes hectic environment.

Revenue Executive

Location: Poole

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join Condor Ferries successful revenue team based in Poole. If you are looking for your first step on the ladder, this entry level position is ideal for someone looking to develop in the travel industry.


The revenue executive will be responsible for supporting the departmental goal of maximising revenue across the passenger ticketing business. The role includes products, pricing, analysing business trends and competitor analysis.


Your work will be varied and will include creating schedules, revenue budgets, creating promotions, pricing, system set up of all products, supporting our trade customers. You will also have the opportunity to work with various departments to achieve business objectives.

The successful applicant will ideally have experience within a revenue or finance environment. A degree in finance or hospitality is desirable. You must have advanced Excel knowledge and good computer skills.
The ideal candidate will be proactive and hard working, with energy and enthusiasm, and an eagerness to learn. They will also possess creative ability, business acumen, and will have an excellent eye for detail.
