Payroll & Sales Ledger Assistant

Location: Guernsey

Payroll & Sales Ledger Assistant – Guernsey Based

 £20,000 – £25,000 dependent on experience.

 A new position has arisen within the Finance Department for a Payroll & Sales Ledger Assistant to support the Payroll Manager with all aspects of payroll across the company, handling pension contributions, raising invoices for Freight Division and assisting with the production of statutory financial reports.

 

 Key responsibilities will include

 Calculation and reporting of crew incentives

  • Back up person for running all payrolls and cover as required
  • Raising and reconciling Freight Billing
  • Handling Billing enquiries and offering a resolution
  • A role within the Finance team contributing to the production of both monthly and statutory reporting

 

 Reporting to the Credit Controller, this role will be based in Guernsey and the successful applicant will be expected to work a standard 35 hour week generally Monday - Friday, however flexibility will be required.

 

 The successful applicant will probably be qualified or studying for qualifications in a relevant subject area.

Safety & Risk Administrator

Location: Poole

Safety & Risk Administrator – Permanent role - Full time (40 hours)

based in Poole

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join Condor Ferries, working at Condor House in Poole, supporting the Safety Director and the Risk & Insurance Manager, within the Operations team.

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Maintenance of the Management database
  • To manage and re-issue the Crisis Management Plan
  • To produce and issue directives and policies as required by Safety. Responsible for the recording and management of the safety management system master documents
  • To provide administrative support for management meetings including preparations of agendas, taking action notes and follow-up as required
  • Responsible for the production of the weekly and quarterly reports
  • Responsible for the co-ordination of company responses to accidents, incidents, near misses and safety committee meetings
  • Member of the Crisis Team: scribe, collating information, compiling post event reports
  • To manage compensation claims against the company reporting directly to the Risk and Insurance Manager
  • To manage company car insurance claims
  • To manage any other claims against the company as directed by the Risk and Insurance Manager
  • Validation of insurance information for renewal purposes

 The successful applicant will probably have a Business and Admin NVQ level 2 or 3, and be proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook and with a working knowledge of Sharepoint.

Marketing Assistant

Location: Poole

Fixed 12 month contract

 

 

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join Condor Ferries successful marketing team working as Marketing Assistant based in Poole. You will be responsible for the creation and implementation of UK and Channel Islands customer facing promotional activity across all channels to time, on budget and in line with the agreed strategy and goals.

 


Your work will be varied and will include creating, communicating and implementing company promotional, media and PR campaigns, liaising with our agencies and suppliers to activities and promotions, producing briefs, proofing artwork, monitoring campaign effectiveness as well as helping us develop our digital communications channels. To succeed in this role you will be confident and energetic, possesses excellent communication skills and creative flair, have an eye for detail and strong time and project management skills.

 


The successful applicant will probably be educated to degree level ideally in a relevant subject area. A good understanding of digital communications and social media are required for this role.

Corporate Communication Manager

Location: Jersey

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join Condor Ferries’ Commercial team working as Corporate Communications Manager based in Jersey. You will be responsible for the planning, implementation and management of all corporate communications, maximising awareness and ensuring consistent presentation of all Condor Ferries messaging.

 


Your work will be varied and will include creating, communicating and implementing corporate communication plans, managing agencies to meet objectives, developing and managing CSR and other events and supporting the HR team in the delivery of internal communications initiatives.
