Stepping inside Riva Bistro evokes the mood and setting of a luxurious super yacht. Owner, Alan Griffiths had the restaurant created using the finest materials sourced from a company in Italy that actually supplies the wood to the world’s super yacht builders. This smart café serves a wide choice of food from fresh local fish and moules to steaks, burgers and fish and chips. It’s also the perfect place to stop for just a coffee or snack with plenty of tasty sandwiches and baguettes to whet your appetite.

“Good food designed to satisfy all your desires is what we offer at Riva” says Alan of his wide-ranging menus “Fresh fish from our waters is always available and features sea bass, skate and many others. Fancy a steak and you will be served the best cuts supplied by the world’s finest producers. Vegetarians are catered for with several dishes including a delicious wild mushroom risotto. We support local producers and feature vegetables, fish shellfish and cheeses sourced in Guernsey”.

It’s worth booking a table in their Upper Deck Restaurant, which offers an A La Carte menu and features a great vantage point to take in the views of St Peter Port’s bustling harbour. Make it an evening reservation for a very romantic feel as the lights of Castle Cornet dance across the water.
