25/04/2008 Veterans Day Campaign
An electrical engineer with Condor Ferries has been enlisted to spearhead a nationwide campaign to raise awareness for Veterans’ Day on June 27th.
 
Veteran’s Day is a celebration both of the contribution made by all those who have served in the Armed Forces and a way of highlighting veterans’ issues.

24/04/2008 Condor Joins Mercy Mission
Condor Ferries has joined forces with the Born Free Foundation to help rescue a pair of lion cubs. The five-month-old cubs, called Marina and Sarnia, were found abandoned and close to death outside an apartment block in Bucharest, Romania in December 2007.
 
Following a media appeal by the Born Free Foundation the lions were flown to a GSPCA Animal Shelter on Guernsey where they were nursed back to health.This week the cubs were declared fit to begin an epic journey to begin a new life at a wildlife reserve run by the Foundation in South Africa.

04/03/2008 Condor Ferries Website Award
Condor Ferries website has been given top scores in an independent review of its website by online magazine New Media Age. Condor's site was awarded 'Site of the Week' with an 83% approval rating beating The Independent online paper and Involve, which scored 80% and 48% respectively.

Each week New Media Age Magazine reviews three websites. This week they have looked at management consultancy, newspapers and cross channel ferry sites, out of the three sites reviewed, site of the week was awarded to the Condor Ferries site.

14/02/2008 Condor seeks more restaurants!
Condor Ferries are looking for more Channel Island restaurants to be included in their promotions to attract day trip visitors from the UK. In 2007, 2,500 UK visitors bought a day trip from Poole with an evening meal in the Channel Islands – a growth of 43% on the previous year!
