The world’s first pink gin came from a collaboration between two of the greatest minds in both botanicals and Herbal Teas - Martin Edgerton Gill (grandson of Lord Edgerton) famed for bringing the teabag to the UK and Dr. Malcolm Stuart, a pioneer of modern day herbal teas and author of the first official encyclopaedia on botanicals.
The mission was to craft a smooth, floral gin with cherry picked botanicals that would really set it apart. Travelling over three continents, the pair procured rare herbs, spices and flowers, including “Damiana”, a famed aphrodisiac from Mexico. The rare Damiana flower gives the gin its unique floral taste and refreshing finish, paired with the world’s most expensive pomegranate seeds from Osaka, Japan. The resulting subtle and sweet blend of 15 exotic botanicals has paved the way for Edgerton to become one of the most acclaimed super-premium gins, with a kudos of over 15 tasting awards.
