The Route du Rhum 40th Anniversary


If you’re interested in adventure, challenge, and impressive achievements, head down to the St Malo coastline and find a space in the crowd. On 4 November 2018, 200 000 excited spectators will watch as the skippers of the Route du Rhum set sail on a long, challenging voyage from St Malo to Pointe-à-Pitre. These truly brave solo sailors will travel an enormous distance of 3510 miles, while they struggle to overcome the challenges presented by mother nature, and the clock. The 2018 Route du Rhum is also the 40th anniversary of the event, so get ready to see 100 courageous skippers set sail in as they attempt to live up to and stand out against 4 decades of sailing history.
