  • Onboard Services Manager

    We have an exciting opportunity for an On-Board Services Manager to join the Marine Operations team on a full time, permanent basis.

     

    We have an exciting opportunity for an On-Board Services Manager to join the Marine Operations team on a full time, permanent basis.

    The purpose of this role is to ensure effective, safe and efficient operational delivery of all OBS activities in line with the Commercial strategy, support the maximisation of onboard spend in Duty Free retails and F&B outlets and to ensure OBS operations are generated to exceptional standards and are delivered consistently across all Company vessels. 

    Some of the Key Responsibilities for this role include:

    • To ensure safety is always the highest priority, and all OBS activities are risk assessed and conducted within identified parameters
    • To maintain high standards of retail merchandising and presentation for duty free retail to F&B
    • To deliver agreed service standards for upgraded seating areas and ensure company policies are implemented.
    • To manage and audit the on-board teams and vessel support teams including performance reviews, day to day enquiries, support, delegation of tasks, overseeing activities on board, development of managers and supervisors on board.

    The successful candidate will have experience in managing teams across different locations, and working within different business areas, as well as having a keen commercial consideration and understanding. They will have experience within fast-paced retail delivery and have knowledge of retail products and activities. They will ideally be educated to degree standard or hold equivalent experience, ideally with a recognised qualification in Management, and experience within a marine environment.

    This role requires frequent travel on board our Company vessels, and nights away from home.

    The intended location for this role will be based both at Condor House, Poole and on board our Company vessels.

  • Export Clerk

    We have an opportunity for an Export Clerk to join the Freight team on a full time, fixed term basis, in our busy Portsmouth Port.

    Location: Portsmouth Port

    We have an opportunity for an Export Clerk to join the Freight team on a fixed term basis, in our busy Portsmouth Port.

    Some of the Key Responsibilities for this role include:

    • To ensure all clients have presented the correct documentation to compile the manifest for the next sailing
    • To deal with all customer enquiries by phone, email and face to face
    • To take and complete freight reservations
    • To at all times represent Condor to our clients, and the general public in accordance with the company standards, regulations and requirements
    • To provide a high level of customer service in accordance with Condor standards and regulations

    The successful candidates will have experience of working to Health and Safety guidelines, and have working knowledge of export regulations, procedures and customs processes. They will ideally hold an appropriate qualification in industry or import/export, and ideally have international trade experience.

    This position involves working shifts and weekends worked on a rota basis. The hours of operation normally cover from 0600 hrs to 2200 hrs.

    Job Type: Full Time, Fixed Term until 31/03/2019

    Salary: £8.50 per hour

  • Shore Operations Associate

    We have an exciting opportunity for a Shore Operations Associate to join the Operations team on a full time, permanent basis.

     

    Location: Any Condor Location

    The purpose of this role is to provide support for the Shore Operations team, and to ensure consistent working practices across all Condor shore based locations.

    Some of the Key Responsibilities for this role include:

    • To develop the ‘Shore Operations Training Academy’ directed by the Head of Shore Operations
    • To construct, deliver and maintain Shore Operations initial, recurrent and refresher training
    • Construction and maintenance of training manuals for all roles with Ports and Warehouse
    • Maintenance of system instructions, issuing updates and manual amendments
    • To audit and maintain Shore Operations Processes, as directed by the Head of Shore Operations

    The successful candidate will have completed a ‘Train the Trainer’ course or equivalent, have previous training experience and experience within a customer service role. Ideally they will be educated to degree level, or hold equivalent experience, and have knowledge of Carres. They will be flexible, approachable and able to work comfortably across all levels of the business.

    The location for this role is neutral, and can be based at any of our Condor locations. The role will include occasional travel to all Condor locations.

  • Warehouse Agent

    We have an opportunity for 3 Warehouse Agents to join the Operations team on a fixed term basis over the Summer.

    Location: Poole

    The purpose of this role is to ensure safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of goods in a timely manner, and in accordance with all relevant HMRC legislation and Company procedures, whilst maintaining the working safety culture throughout the warehouse and ensuring timely operation of all daily warehouse functions.


    Some of the Key Responsibilities for this role include:


    • To complete picking, packing and distribution activity within the warehouse operation, to ensure it is completed in a safe, timely and efficient manner, as directed.
    • Liaising with customers, suppliers and transport companies as required in a professional manner.
    • Maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment.
    • Completion of all required paperwork in accordance with Company guidelines and Standard Operation Procedures.
    The successful candidate will have a Full UK Driving Licence, as well as manual handling experience. They will ideally hold a forklift and towing licence and have previous warehouse experience. They will have good interpersonal skills, and be a strong team player.

    • You will be responsible for managing all SEO and digital analytics functions across the Condor Ferries routes and services.

    • Lead all technical SEO tactics such as keyword strategy, analysis and recommendations, link building, and providing insights for our content strategy with the aim to increase rankings on all major search engines.

    • Be the internal champion for all Marketing data, working on statistical analysis, paying attention to econometrics, deep dive analytics and booking conversion data.

    • Daily management, reporting and implementation of Google Analytics, Google Search console and Tag Manager along with CRO tools, such as VWO and CloudIQ.

    The successful candidate will take ownership of all natural search activity, including technical, on page, and off page SEO techniques, as well as providing the marketing team with insight into maximising campaign performance. Our goal is to deliver the highest level of service to our customers and maximise return on our digital marketing spend.
