Marine Superintendent

Location: Neutral - any Condor location

The purpose of this role is to manage day to day strategic marine matters, participate in the development and delivery of the department’s strategy in line with the overall Company strategy and risk appetite and to provide shore-based marine expertise to all areas of the business and supporting the fleet to deliver business objectives.

Some of the Key Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Ensure all marine activities are conducted in accordance with the Company’s risk appetite and regularly updated and reviewed
  • Carryout snapshot audits as required
  • Identify and interview suitably qualified and competent Deck Officers for employment/promotion to appropriate vessels
  • Responsible for the generation and management of the commercial operating schedule for the vessels.

The successful candidate will hold a Certificate of Competency or relevant experience, as well as previous experience within a similar industry in a regulated environment. They will have proven management skills of a diverse and multifunctional workforce and previous auditing skills. They will ideally have completed the ‘Train the trainer’ course or equivalent qualification.

The location for this role is neutral, and will include frequent travel around Condor locations and vessels. You must hold a full UK driving license.
