Junior AssistantEngineer/Engine Room Assistant

The purpose of this role is to assist the Assistant Engineer with maintenance work and regular tasks during the day to keep the vessel operational as well as in good tidy order.

Some of the Key Responsibilities for this role include:

• Routine maintenance to the Chief Engineer or Assistant Engineer’s orders
• Assist with starting main engines and dealing with any problems that may arise
• Keeping machinery spaces in a clean and working environment
• Complete end of watch checks

The successful candidate will hold an Engineering Officer of the Watch certificate, a valid ENG1 and preferably have experience of working on high speed ferries.
This role will be based on board our High Speed Crafts.
