Food & Beverage Supervisor - Clipper

Location: Seafarer

The purpose of this role is to manage and delegate work within the food and beverage department so that the highest level of service is provided to our guests.

The role is based on the Commodore Clipper, which can carry up to 100 cars and 300 passengers and operates a freight and passenger service from Portsmouth to Guernsey and Jersey.

Some of the Key Responsibilities for this role include;

  1. To make sure the food and beverage facilities are kept clean and tidy.
  2. To ensure all food and beverage staff behave in a service friendly and sales minded fashion.
  3. To ensure all food and beverage staffs are always dressed in correct company uniform.
  4. To ensure the brassiere is ready and fully stocked for the boarding of new passengers.
  5. To ensure that any stock removed from the brassiere is transferred, recorded and given to admin.
  6. To ensure fridge temperatures are taken daily and recorded on a temperature sheet then passed on to the Chief Cook.
  7. To ensure any repairs or defects are reported and recorded in the defects book which is to be found in the purser’s office.
  8. To ensure all wastage is kept to a minimum and recorded.
  9. To make sure that price lists, menus, showcases and other display material are current and correct.
  10. Ensure Cabin Manager is informed of any staffs that do not perform to the requirements.
  11. Ensure our guests are informed of opening and closing times together with any sales offers via the PA system.
  12. Responsible for making sure staff are aware of the garbage disposal procedures.
  13. To hand over the department to your opposite colleague in a prepared fashion and to update him or she of any changes during the last shift.

 

The successful candidate will be able to lead and motivate a team, have excellent customer care skills and decision making ability. They will also have previous experience within a similar role, strong safety awareness, good communication skills and attention to detail.

All travel documents should be in good order and available.
