Electrical Engineer

Location: Onboard

We have an opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join our operations team on a full-time basis.

The purpose of this role is to manage day to day electrical, electronic and control engineering at the operational level.

Some of the Key Responsibilities for this role include:

  • The Electrical Engineer is responsible to the Electrical Superintendent for all the electrical work onboard the vessels as supervised by the Chief Engineer and/or Ship Manager. This includes (but not limited to) the routine maintenance and repair of all electrical equipment onboard the vessel.
  • The Electrical Engineer must also investigate and repair failure of electrical, electronic and control equipment.
  • The Electrical Engineer must be fully conversant with the vessels PM System and use the system correctly and to full advantage in connection with routine and breakdown maintenance. Records and history must be fully updated as work is completed.
  • The Electrical Support Engineer must carry out all work in a safe and efficient manner and adhere to company and statutory regulations. He/she must abide by the ISM Code and vessel/company SMS.

The successful candidate will be a qualified in Electrical Engineer to a HNC level 4 or equivalent Degree, or hold a Certificate of Competency, as well as previous experience within a similar industry in a regulated environment.

The intended location for this role is vessel based across all our fleet so will include frequent travel around Condor locations and vessels. You therefore must hold a full UK driving license.
