  • Freight Agent

    We have an opportunity for a Freight Agent to join the Freight team in Jersey on a full time, permanent basis.

    Location: Saint Helier

    The purpose of this role is to ensure excellent customer service is delivered to our Freight customers, ensuring best working practices are adhered to at all times to ensure a positive customer experience.


    Some of the Key Responsibilities for this role include:


    • Assist with checking-in, marshalling, loading/unloading, collection of passenger vehicles and freight/goods to and from all company vessels
    • Assist in the preparation and completion of all paperwork and administrative procedures relating to all vehicle, passenger, freight and vessel movements
    • Meet daily targets and attend the team briefings


    The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including good grammar and punctuation skills, and be computer literate.

  • Electrical Engineer

    We have an opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join the Operations team on a full-time basis.

    Location: The intended location for this role is vessel based across all our fleet so will include frequent travel around Condor locations and vessels.

    We have an opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join the Operations team on a full-time basis.

    The purpose of this role is to manage day to day electrical, electronic and control engineering at the operational level.

    Some of the Key Responsibilities for this role include:

    • The Electrical Engineer is responsible to the Systems Engineer for all the electrical work onboard the vessels as supervised by the Chief Engineer and/or Ship Manager. This includes (but not limited to) the routine maintenance and repair of all electrical equipment onboard the vessel.
    • The Electrical Engineer must also investigate and repair failure of electrical, electronic and control equipment.
    • The Electrical Engineer must be fully conversant with the vessels PM System and use the system correctly and to full advantage in connection with routine and breakdown maintenance. Records and history must be fully updated as work is completed.
    • The Electrical Support Engineer must carry out all work in a safe and efficient manner, and adhere to company and statutory regulations. He/she must abide by the ISM Code and vessel/company SMS.

    The successful candidate will be a qualified electrical engineer and hold a Certificate of Competency or relevant experience , as well as previous experience within a similar industry in a regulated environment.

    The intended location for this role is vessel based across all our fleet so will include frequent travel around Condor locations and vessels. You therefore must hold a full UK driving license.

    We have an opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join the Finance Team on a permanent
    basis.

    Location: Guernsey

    The purpose of this role is to oversee all Freight Sales Ledger Duties and to ensure
    correct billing and checking procedures are followed.


    Some of the Key Responsibilities for this role include:


    • Oversee Freight billing
    • Freight invoice query resolution
    • Oversee updating of annual rates
    • Carry out Credit Control Duties
    • Reporting for Harbour Dues
    • To monitor and report on errors and improve process


    The successful candidate will have previous experience of working in a Finance
    environment and be computer literate. They will be a good communicator with a proven
    ability of working to financial deadlines.


    The intended location for this role is Guernsey but may require occasional visits to other
    Ports or offices.

  • Accounts Assistant

    We have an opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join the Finance Team on a permanent basis.



    Location: Poole

    The purpose of this role is to assist with the day to day accounting functions within the department. This is a key role within the accounts department contributing to the production of the monthly accounts.


    Some of the Key Responsibilities for this role include:


    • Accurate and timely posting of invoices
    • Ability to post manual journals to P&L and control accounts
    • Understanding and processing of intercompany transactions
    • Resolving and clearing queries on the ledgers
    • Building relationships with purchasing teams and departments
    • Liaising with staff at all levels
    • Keeping up with daily duties and controlling the flow of paperwork for signature


    The successful candidate will have previous experience within a similar role. They will be a good team player with a willingness to learn new skills and have proactive approach to resolving queries.

  • Assistant Accountant

    We have an opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join the Finance Team on a permanent basis.

    Location: Poole

    The purpose of this role is to be involved in the Finance Team’s month end process and provide timely financial reports to the Commercial Team to aid business decisions.


    Some of the Key Responsibilities for this role include:


    • Assisting the administering of our Purchase Order Processing System for invoices received and resolving any queries
    • Assisting the accounts receivable team with invoicing and queries
    • Accurate and timely production of rebate invoices
    • Enter into SAGE produced journals for month end process as and when required
    • Produce balance sheet and cash reconciliations
    • Produce Weekly and Monthly Reports for the Commercial Team
    • Administering the Onboard Crew incentives
    • To assist the Finance Manager with any ad hoc financial analysis as required.


    The successful candidate will have previous experience within a similar role. They will be a good communicator and team player with a willingness to learn new skills.


    The intended location for this role is Poole with occasional visits to other offices, based in the Channel Islands and travel on company vessels may be required.

  • Community Officer

    We have an exciting opportunity for a Community Officer to join the Commercial Team.

    Location: Channel Islands, Guernsey or Jersey, with occasional requirements for travel to other locations.

    The purpose of this role is to enhance Condor’s Company reputation in the Channel Islands and deliver all responsible areas of the island’s community plan.

    Key Responsibilities for this role include:

    • Charity co-ordination – seeking out opportunities to work in partnership
    • Event management – ensuring profile at key events across the calendar, encouraging internal team participation at events and communicating planned key messages.
    • Schools programme delivery – to organise and deliver presentations on key topics
    • PR facilitation – ensuring our community activity receives the desired exposure; liaising with our PR manager to gain coverage.
    • Story discovery – seeking out new opportunities and existing internal stories that can be used in our campaign material.

    The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about sharing the Condor brand and working in partnership with local schools, colleges and other key stakeholders. They will be comfortable presenting and speaking to large groups of people. Good communication skills are also extremely important, both written and verbal, with an ability to influence and persuade.

    This role will be based in the Channel Islands, Guernsey or Jersey, with occasional requirements for travel to other locations.
