  • SEO Specialist

    We are looking for a talented SEO Specialist to join our successful, friendly marketing team. 

    Location: Poole

    Understanding our customers is central to everything we do so data analytics is vital to us; you will bring a depth of knowledge and experience in SEO, best practice techniques and implement strategies for effective search campaigns across all Condor Ferries routes and services. You’ll be in close contact with our specialist agencies, managing their activities to deliver our objectives and so an in-depth understanding of multiple analytics platforms will make you an outstanding candidate for this position. This is a hands-on role, working to deliver high quality online activity to improve our results, reputation and brand.     • You will be responsible for managing all SEO and digital analytics functions across the Condor Ferries routes and services.

    • Lead all technical SEO tactics such as keyword strategy, analysis and recommendations, link building, and providing insights for our content strategy with the aim to increase rankings on all major search engines.

    • Be the internal champion for all Marketing data, working on statistical analysis, paying attention to econometrics, deep dive analytics and booking conversion data.

    • Daily management, reporting and implementation of Google Analytics, Google Search console and Tag Manager along with CRO tools, such as VWO and CloudIQ.

    The successful candidate will take ownership of all natural search activity, including technical, on page, and off page SEO techniques, as well as providing the marketing team with insight into maximising campaign performance. Our goal is to deliver the highest level of service to our customers and maximise return on our digital marketing spend.

  • Contact Centre Agent

    We have an opportunity for a Contact Centre Agent to join the Customer Services team on a full time basis until 31st October 2018.

     

    Location: Poole & Jersey

    The purpose of this role is to provide excellent customer service in accordance with Condor’s standards, regulations and requirements and to represent the company in a professional manner to its customers over the telephone, email, webchat and social media.

    Some of the Key Responsibilities for this role include:

    • To undertake the efficient and courteous answering of incoming telephone calls and make outgoing calls
    • To engage with people through multimedia contact: webchat, emails and social media
    • To provide the smooth and efficient processing of all basic reservations promoting all company products and services
    • To action and accurately relay information in all aspects of company operations, ensuring that all facts are correct

    The successful candidate will have previous customer service experience, as well as good communication skills, a confident telephone manner, and accurate keyboard skills.

  • Passenger Services Agent

    We have an opportunity for a Passenger Services Agent to join the team at Poole Port on a part time, fixed term basis.

     

     

    Location: Poole Port

    The purpose of this role is to deliver the highest level of customer service skills at all times and to ensure a positive customer experience for our passengers.

     Some of the Key Responsibilities for this role include:

    • To assist with checking-in, marshalling, loading/unloading and collection of passengers and vehicles to and from all company vessels

    • To assist in the preparation and completion of all paperwork and administrative procedures relating to all vehicle, passenger and vessel movements

    • To assist in achieving targets and standards as set down by the Ports and Operations Management team

    • To be competent in cash and till handling procedures

     The successful candidate will have previous customer service experience, including excellent communication skills – both verbal and written. They will be a strong team player and have relevant computer skills.

  • Assistant Technical Purchaser

    We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Technical Purchaser to join the team on a full time, permanent basis.

     

    Location: Poole

    The purpose of this role is to ensure the timely operation of all daily warehouse functions and ensuring the Warehouse meets and exceeds Company expectations. They will work closely with the Lead Technical Purchaser and assist in maintaining essential relationships with suppliers, port staff, the Fleet & Asset team and Chief Engineers.

    Some of the Key Responsibilities for this role include:

    • Assist in the safe and efficient receipt, storage, stock control and despatch of goods in a timely manner.
    • Progressing ships requisitions ensuring best possible prices are achieved for equipment being purchased externally and timely issues from stock are complete within designated SODA limits.
    • Hastening suppliers ensuring equipment is received to meet company requirements .
    • Maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment and to assist in the update and monitoring of the company COSHH register for all related items.

    The successful candidate will hold a full UK driving licence, a Forklift licence and ideally a Towing licence. They will have Manual Handling experience and ideally, previous experience within a Warehouse environment.

  • Health & Safety Officer

    We have an opportunity for a Health & Safety Officer to join the Safety & Compliance team on a full time, permanent basis.

    Location: Poole

    The purpose of this role is to provide health, safety and environmental expertise to ensure compliance and improve safety performance.


    Some of the Key Responsibilities for this role include:


    • To provide effective support to all levels of employees on health and safety matters onboard and ashore.
    • To advise managers and supervisors of safety training needs for their operations
    • Carry out assessments of shore workplace health, safety and environmental risks in consultation with local site managers and their teams
    • Contribute to the company’s induction on matters of safety including delivery of training.


    The successful candidate will hold a recognised Health & Safety Management qualification or equivalent experience, and be educated to A Level standard or equivalent. They will ideally have experience with working with maritime operations, and knowledge of maritime legislation/guidance. They will be self-motivated, with a proven ability to motivate others, and be able to use their own initiative.


    This role will involve frequent travel around the Condor locations.

  • Seasonal Cabin Crew

    Spend the summer with the Condor team, as part of the Cabin Crew on-board our high-speed ferries!

     

    Location: Poole

    We are looking for friendly and enthusiastic individuals to join our crew, who will be responsible for delivering a first-class customer experience on board our high-speed ferries sailing between Poole and the Channel Islands. This is an exciting opportunity to kickstart your career in the travel industry.

    We have a number of vacancies on a fixed term contract until October 2018 on a full-time basis, which have the potential to be extended or even made permanent should you do well in the role.

    What will my role onboard involve?

    Safety is at the heart of our business, therefore the main responsibility of our deck crew and cabin crew is to ensure that our passengers are kept safe at all times, including in an emergency. Other responsibilities include welcoming and assisting passengers, serving passengers in the onboard shops and cafes, and ensure that the ship is kept clean and tidy at all times.

    Condor Ferries operates on a 24 hour, 7 days per week operation, which means that shifts cover early mornings, nights and over weekends too. The working pattern will be 4 x 12 hour shifts, and then 4 days off.

    The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and will be able to work effectively under pressure as part of a fun and energising team. You will need to be able to manage your time effectively and have a flexible and adaptable approach. Experience in a customer facing role is essential, and experience within the retail or food & beverage industry would be beneficial.
