Condor Ferries announces 100,000 bookings and local businesses continue to benefit from the ferry’s return

Condor Ferries has seen a significant increase in bookings since its return to Weymouth earlier this summer and local businesses continue to feel the positive impact too. With 100,000 bookings made for guests travelling through the port, local businesses in Weymouth have seen increased footfall and sales from those travelling to and from the Channel Islands.

Owner of the Pier Bandstand Weymouth, Kieran Wilkinson, comments: “From mid-July we have seen a 20% increase in the sales of gifts, produce from our cafe and ice creams during the summer months, in comparison to this time last year. We strongly believe that the return of Condor Ferries is a huge contributing factor to this increase. Many of the tourists that visit Weymouth are en route to the Channel Islands or decide to head to Weymouth as there is the option of a day trip over to the Channel Islands.”
