Taking your Caravan

It should be noted that on fast ferries, the carriage of towed caravans is restricted to three.

When booking please have the exact dimensions of your vehicle (including the towbar) ready before you make your booking as we need to know the exact dimensions (length/height) of your vehicle - rates are calculated according to size.

Taking your caravan to Jersey
We cannot book your caravan travel directly to Jersey as an entry permit is required. Please make your reservations through the campsite and they will supply you with an entry permit.

Taking your caravan to Guernsey
At present, caravans travelling from the UK or Europe are not allowed in Guernsey.

Passports

If you are travelling between the UK and the Channel Islands, then your passport is not needed.
But don't forget you'll need a valid passport for travel to and from France.

Passengers travelling to and from St. Malo must ensure that their passport(s) is available for inspection and the correct and valid documentation is being carried. Visas are required by some non EEC nationals.

Taking Your Pet

We allow pets that comply with the Pet Travel Scheme (PETS) (opens in new window). However we do not allow animals in the passenger areas (with the exception of certified sensing dogs).

UK to France: Pets are charged £15 for the first pet each way, and £7.50 per subsequent pet each way . We regret that we are unable to offer the carriage of pets on our conventional ferry service between Portsmouth and Cherbourg.
UK to Channel Islands: Pets are charged £10 each if traveling with a foot passenger. There is no charge if pets are treveling inside the vehicle.

For more about PETS visit: www.defra.gov.uk (opens in a new window) or call us on 0845 609 1024.

Personal Luggage

Foot passengers can carry up to 15kg of personal luggage free of charge and it must be labelled with name and destination.

Excess luggage may be accepted, subject to space availability, and will be charged at appropriate rate.

Please bear in mind that the following items are charged at cargo rates: camping equipment, musical instruments, filming and radio transmitting equipment, commercial samples, surf and windsurfing boards and equipment.

If you are a day trip passenger, please note that only hand baggage is permitted.
